WhatsApp is testing a new feature that will enable users to manage favorite contacts within the application. The new tool allows users to choose favorite contacts, rearrange them, or remove them from the favorites list when needed. It also allows users to add chat groups. According to what was observed in the beta version of the application, users will be able to create a list of favorite contacts to access them easily without having to scroll through the contact list or chat history. Through this new addition, WhatsApp aims to facilitate making voice or video calls. The platform has allocated a special section for this in the settings to manage favorite contacts in the application, without alerting other users to add them to that list or remove them from it. It is not known when this feature will be widely available as it is still under development in beta versions of the application so far. In addition to making it easier to make calls, the favorite contacts feature in WhatsApp will open the door to mo re additional options, such as separating conversations with favorite contacts from the rest of the conversations, or the ability to share statuses with favorite contacts only.
