Geneva - Ma'an - The Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, said that the organization and its partners are responding to the injuries resulting from the series of (Israeli) airstrikes on the Al-Mawasi area in Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, which led to the martyrdom of 90 citizens, the injury of 294, and the disappearance of many others under the rubble. Ghebreyesus said on his Twitter account that 134 seriously injured people were admitted to Nasser Medical Complex, which is facing great pressure due to the influx of wounded, noting that WHO staff are present at the hospital along with two emergency medical teams to treat the injured. The organization sent 50 folding beds and 50 stretchers to increase the hospital's capacity, noting that some of the wounded were transferred to a field hospital in Deir al-Balah, where the World Health Organization sent medical supplies to cover the urgent needs of 120 patients.
