Singapore, Ambassador Mohammed Abdul Rahman Al Haidan, Chief of Legal Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Acting Head of the GCC Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, participated in the Senior Legal Advisers Forum and the 125th anniversary celebration of the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA) in Singapore. The forum discussed the latest legal developments and international law trends, with participants exchanging expertise and best practices in resolving international disputes. Emphasis was placed on mediation as an effective alternative dispute resolution method. The forum addressed current challenges in state-investor disputes and the evolution of these issues in light of new international law topics such as climate change. It also explored the best strategies to tackle these challenges. On the sidelines, Ambassador Mohammed Al Haidan met with PCA Representative Dr. TĂșlio Toledo to discuss cooperation prospects between Bahrain and PCA, enhancing relations, exchanging legal expertise, a nd improving international dispute resolution, particularly mediation, amid current challenges.
